葉淺予 1907年生于浙江桐廬。中國漫畫和生活速寫的奠基人。曾任中國美術家協會副主席、中國文聯委員、中國畫研究院副院長、中央美院教授。曾獲“第六屆全國美展榮譽獎”。代表作有《維吾爾人》《婆羅多舞》《長安懷古》。
Ye Qianyu was born in Tonglu, Zhejiang in 1907. As a pioneer of Chinese comics and sketch of life, he served several positions, including Vice President of China Artists Association, a member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Vice President of China Academy of Chinese Painting and a professor of Central Academy of Fine Arts. He was the owner of the Honor Prize of the 6th National Art Exhibition. and are his masterpieces.
華君武 1915年生于浙江杭州。1938年到達延安，從事抗日宣傳，并為《解放日報》畫時事漫畫。1949年12月任《人民日報》美術組組長、《人民文學》美術顧問；1961年起，開始在《光明日報》的《東風》副刊上發表“人民內部諷刺漫畫”，后在“文革”其間受批斗。曾任中國美術家協會副主席、全國人大代表、政協委員。代表作有《疲勞過度癥》《肉骨頭引狗》《1939年所植的樹》。
Hua Junwu, born in Hangzhou in 1915, went to Yan'an in 1938 to pursue his career of art. Since then, he had published numerous comics on newspapers and magazines, featuring caricatures. He was the Vice President of China Artists Association, Deputy to the National People's Congress and a member of the CPPCC.
張光宇 1900年江蘇無錫。曾任中央工藝美術學院教授、中國美術家協會理事。代表作有《紫石街》、《張光宇黑白插圖集》、《大鬧天宮》。

丁聰 1916年生于上海。二十世紀三十年代初開始發表漫畫。1945-1947年在上海發表了不少較有影響的以“爭民主”為題材的諷刺畫。曾任《人民畫報》副總編輯、全國青聯常委兼副秘書長、中國美術家協會理事、中國漫畫藝術委員會主任、全國政協委員。代表作有《駱駝祥子插圖》、《阿Q正傳插圖》、《四世同堂插圖》。

魯少飛 1903年生于上海。擅長漫畫、編輯。曾創辦中國漫畫家協會，曾任《時代漫畫》、《國家總動員畫報》主編，人民美術出版社美術編輯組組長。曾獲“中國漫畫金猴獎”。代表作有《改造博士》《魚我所欲也》《漁鷹》。

余彤甫 1897年生于江蘇蘇州。別名彤父，昌煒，字彤甫、彤夫。曾任江蘇省國畫院正畫師，上海美專、社教學院美術系等學院教授，上海商務印書館特約美術編輯，蘇州美協副主席、文聯執委、文管會委員、市政協委員。代表作有《天平郊游》《黃山桃花溪》《長江萬里圖》。

周鐵衡 1902年生于河北冀縣。原名周德輿，別號鐵翁、半聾、灌園丁。二十歲至北京，拜齊白石為師。精于律詩、篆刻、書法。著有《半聾樓談畫》《后來居印草》《清錢軼錄》。代表作有《雙喜》等。
