In the incoming Xiling Yinshe 2016 Spring Auction, we are delighted to present the Sale of Opera Arts-Zhang Chonghe’s Legacy, the first of its kind ever in China. It consists of two parts:
Part I Unpublished important collection of Zhang Chonghe in her late years from her family and students
The part of Zhang Chonghe and Kunqu Opera includes a great deal of valuable Kunqu Opera literature, Zhang’s poem and essay manuscripts, paintings with her inscription and scholarly objects in her collection, which gives an in-depth retrospect and salutation to her, the Last Lady of China.
Part II Autograph letters and manuscripts related Kunqu Opera, Peking Opera and Yue Opera artists; Old signed photos; Opera costumes and props, etc.
