潘思同 1904年生于廣東省新會市，1922年考入上海美術(shù)專門學校西洋畫科，至1925年畢業(yè)。1923年與陳秋草、方雪鴣在上海創(chuàng)辦“白鵝畫會”，任”白鵝畫會”研究所指導。1929至1931年任上海美術(shù)?？茖W校西洋畫系素描、水彩畫教授。1933年起任上海商務(wù)印書館美術(shù)編輯，兼任大成出版公司美術(shù)部編輯。1955年起長期執(zhí)教于中央美術(shù)學院華東分院（后為浙江美術(shù)學院）。同時潛心于水彩畫創(chuàng)作，擅長描繪風景。還曾任上海新中國美術(shù)研究所指導，北京商務(wù)印書館美術(shù)組封面設(shè)計，北京高等教育出版社編輯。
Pan Sitong was born in Xinhui, Guangdong Province in 1904, Pan Sitong entered Western Painting Department of Shanghai Academy of Art in 1922 and graduated in 1925. He established 'The Swan Arts Association' in Shanghai with Chen Qiucao and Fang Xuegu. He became influential by leading The Swan Arts Association. Between 1929 and 1931, Pan served as a professor of sketch and watercolor painting at Western Painting Department of Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts and later as Art Editor of The Commercial Press of Shanghai and editor of Art Division of Dacheng Publishing Company since 1933. He had also been teaching at Central Academy of Fine Arts (later Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts) since 1955. Meanwhile, he had devoted himself to making watercolor paintings with particularly outstanding skills at landscape ones. Afterwards, he served as a director of Shanghai Institute of New Chinese Fine Arts Research, a cover designer of Art Division of The Commercial Press of Beijing and an editor of Beijing Higher Education Press.
